Tyler Stokes is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter born and raised in St. Louis. Since playing his first professional gig when he was 14, he has played all over the world, including the US, UK, Europe, Australia, and Mexico. JUSTIN NELSON

Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, Saxophone, Performance

Justin Nelson is a pianist born in Gainesville, Florida.

He began studying the saxophone at age 12 and ever since has had an intense passion for music. He received his A.A. from Florida State University, with an emphasis in jazz saxophone performance and philosophy. Upon deciding to switch instruments to the piano, he then transferred to the University of Florida (UF) to pursue a degree. He is also a certified teacher of the Lister-Sink Method and a fervent proponent of its principles.

Justin has been teaching for 10 years and teaches online lessons as well as in-person lessons at both the Maplewood and Benton Park locations.

VICTORIA KLEEMAN

Guitar, Voice, Ukulele, Piano

Victoria Kleeman was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and moved to St. Louis in 2018 to pursue her M.A. in Music Therapy at Maryville University. She graduated in 2018 from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL with a B.A. in Music and Psychology.

Since moving to St. Louis, Victoria has been teaching private guitar, voice, ukulele and piano lessons.

SAM MAUL

Audio Engineering, Production, Recording, Podcasts

Sam Maul is the Chief Engineer and Producer at Shock City Studios in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Webster University with a BA in Audio Production in 2012. In his 10 years of experience in the audio industry Sam has worked with thousands of clients across all genres of music.

Sam teaches private and semi-private audio engineering, recording, production and podcasting to students through Shock City School of Music. He customizes lessons to fit the needs and preferences of each individual student to align with their projects

ERICA DECOSTA

Business Administrator

Born and raised right outside of St. Louis, Erica DeCosta works as the Business Administrator for Shock City School of Music. She graduated from Lindenwood University with a BA in Music Business.

While Erica has experience with singing, ukulele, and songwriting, her main passion is to help ignite the love of music within others, which is why she enjoys having the opportunity to work with a music school such as Shock City.
